I took Converse off of Nina’s list. I don’t have anything against Converse, I just don’t wear them and have no interest in investing in a pair. What I will invest in is a pair of sexy slingbacks! I will get more wear out of these shoes than a pair of Converse and more compliments too!
The other shoe Nina recommends is the Sandal and I agree! I like to have a beige pair, as they will go with anything that I wear! I bought these at Rack Room Shoes and they are very comfortable for walking.
One item I scratched off the One Hundred list was the concert t-shirt. Yes, it looks good on other people, but I think at my age I don’t want to go around wearing a t-shirt I bought twenty years ago at a Motley Crue concert! I will leave that to the younger people. I replaced the concert t-shirt with one of my favorites! The wedge!
These shoes are the reason I can ride the rollercoasters at Kings Island! Without them, I couldn’t pass the height requirement!
These are another pair of sandals that I bought from Avon. I don’t recommend wearing them for walking, but they served me well over the summer by the pool!
So agree with the Converse thing! I am not a tennis shoe wearer – not even for walking – I use my Keens. Gave away all of my heels when I left the corporate world 16 years old. Just bought my first pair since (stepson is getting married) and I think they are so sexy! I feel grownup again. Donna
Congratulations on your step son’s upcoming marriage! Take photos of the shoes!!! I don’t have a pair of tennis shoes and I plan to keep it that way!! This experiment has made me feel grown up! After twenty years of being “mom”, I am finding Melissa again!
I see so many women my age or older on the web wearing converses and just don’t get it. Tennis shoes are for working out in my world. I found a pair of red ones very much like yours at the thrift store recently. Last year I invested in several slingback wedges. Ballet flats are great too!
I agree that tennis shoes are for workout only!
